Salary (Pay Matrix)

The Head Constable (Ministerial) post falls under Group ‘C’ and offers a competitive salary package as per Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age as on 01.07.2025. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-07-2000 and not later than 01-07-2007.

Age Relaxation: Permissible age relaxation is provided for reserved categories:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Departmental Candidates (Delhi Police): Up to 40 years (UR/EWS), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of military service

2. Educational Qualification (As on the closing date of application)

Candidates must be 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass or possess an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board.

3. Professional Attainments (Skill Requirements)

Candidates must possess a minimum typing speed as follows:

  • English Typing: 30 words per minute (WPM) OR
  • Hindi Typing: 25 words per minute (WPM)

Selection Process

The selection process is structured in four compulsory stages:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): Conducted by SSC (100 Marks).
  2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT): Conducted by Delhi Police (Qualifying).
  3. Typing Test on Computer: Conducted by Delhi Police (25 Marks).
